Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre was re-launched in January 2016.

Our children’s centre serves families and children in the 0-5 age range from Bookham, Effingham, Fetcham and surrounding area.

Rachel Wedd is leading our children’s centre work and is currently developing a programme to support parents & families in our local community. We have access to a wide range of resources and information.

– Noah’s Ark is our main stay & play session on a Thursday afternoon from 1.30-3pm. Parents of Rainbow Playgroup children who wish to stay to eat their packed lunch can do so.

– Rhyme Time for 0’s to 5’s happens every Friday from 10.30am to 11am.

Oasis

Oasis at Bookham Baptist Church

Oasis at Bookham Baptist Church takes place every 2nd Friday of the month, between 2-4.30pm.

Admission is free, but donations are welcomed to cover the costs of treatments and materials.

There is a warm welcome with refreshments and home-made cakes and a chocolate fountain; a place to sit and chat with friends and a chance to get a hand, head or neck and shoulder massage or to get your nails done, whilst the Oasis team keep an eye on the children with crafts and games.

Rainbow Playgroup / PreSchool

Rainbow Playgroup is a Pre-School situated in the heart of Bookham village in the hall of Bookham Baptist Church. ​​

We are a non-profit making organisation hosted by the church for the purpose of being a great resource to families in our local community. ​​

We work closely with Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre and Noah’s Ark Toddler group so that we can provide continuity for families from birth to school entry. ​

We are open Mon – Fri from 9.15 – 12.15 and we welcome children from 2 years.

Bookham Baptist Church and a number of other churches have partnered with CAP to offer debt counselling in Mole Valley. The service we offer is completely free. Talking Teens

Parenting teenagers can be stressful and challenging. This course will tackle some of these challenges and help you understand your teenager better so you can have a calmer, happier family life.

Growing Together course – Course of Workshops for Parents and Carers of Young Children aged 7 and under

Being a parent of a young child can be both rewarding and challenging. These sessions are designed to enable parents to better understand their child, build confidence, and explore strategies to deal with some of the challenges caring for young children presents.

You will come away with strategies for limit setting, playing together with your child, conflict and also looking after yourself.

Parents who have been on this course remark that they are calmer afterwards and have a more positive relationship with their children.
