Parenting Workshops: Help you child develop skills for school
‘Parents are their child’s first educators’ -The Urban Child Institute
As parents, we want the best for our children. This workshop will cover how to help develop early literacy skills. The workshop will be delivered by Early Years Trainer for Practitioners and Parents, Rachael Underwood.

Oasis at Bookham Baptist Church takes place every 2nd Friday of the month, between 2-4.30pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed to cover the costs of treatments and materials. There is a warm welcome with refreshments and home-made cakes and a chocolate fountain; a place to sit and chat with friends and a chance to get a hand, head or neck and shoulder massage or to get your nails done, whilst the Oasis team keep an eye on the children with crafts and games. Rainbow Playgroup / PreSchool
Rainbow Playgroup is a Pre-School situated in the heart of Bookham village in the hall of Bookham Baptist Church. We are a non-profit making organisation hosted by the church for the purpose of being a great resource to families in our local community. We work closely with Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre and Noah’s Ark Toddler group so that we can provide continuity for families from birth to school entry. We are open Mon – Fri from 9.15 – 12.15 and we welcome children from 2 years. For more information please see the Rainbow website
The Meeting Place
THE MEETING PLACE is a social enterprise run by Christians from local churches and people from the community. One of our aims is to try and make a positive impact locally. On the 2nd February, we will be having a ‘Pop Up Sling Session’ where qualified sling consultants Katherine and Zoe will be visiting The Meeting Place Café at with a range of slings and carriers to try so just pop in! Christians Against Poverty
The charity is a fast-paced, growing organisation whose vision is to answer the national problem of debt in the UK by having at least one CAP Debt Centre operating in every major town and city. Bookham Baptist Church and a number of other churches have partnered with CAP to offer debt counselling in Mole Valley. The service we offer is completely free. Cobham Area Foodbank We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre have been selected to receive funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
