We rely on the financial support of our members to fund our activities. There are three ways to give. giftaid-logo

  • In church, by placing cash or a cheque (payable to: Bookham Baptist Church) in the offering bag (we can supply envelopes for this; please ask the church office).

Standing order/Electronic transfer

  • By standing order (for regular payments) or electronic transfer from your bank account to ours:
    • Payee : Bookham Baptist Church
    • Bank : CAF Bank
    • Sortcode : 40-52-40
    • Account No : 00006335

You can download our standing order form if you need to take one into your bank (download form here) or if you would like to pay by electronic transfer, you can contact the church office if you need help arranging this. If you want to vary a standing order, you will need to contact your bank.

Gift Aid – how it works

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your giving by allowing us to claim back basic rate tax on the value of the gift. This turns eg £100 into £125 and is known as Gift Aid. Gift Aid can be applied to cash, cheques and payments by standing order or electronic transfer. If you would like to gift aid your giving, please download the Gift Aid Declaration form, complete it and return it to the church office.

Some thoughts on Giving

Rev Steve Elmes has written a short paper which considers giving within a biblical context – you can read it here.
